Snow

Yes winter has come to Sweden and that big time. We have had from - 19,6 to just + 1,2 and sunny cold days or as now snowstorm.

Diciembre

Para ser mas fácil o difícil para unos voy a escribir un poco en español. Como muchos saben me voy a Barcelona en Enero a Julio. Q feliz estoy, lo único q bloquea esta sensación es q no tenemos un apartamento.

En principios de Diciembre yo estaba muy nerviosa xq todavía no me llagaba la decisión q si o q no estaba en el curso. Despues me llego y empezamos a ver mas y mas donde de vivir. Yo encontré un apartamento muy bonito todo amueblado y muy cerca de la escuela y en la Placa Cataluyna. Les llame hace unos dias y me dijieron que nada mas pueden rentar si nos quedamos mas de un año. Que coraje me dio. Yo q quería el apartamento.... estaba todo guay. Es nada mas buscar un nuevo y nunca perder el fe.

Hello Spain

yeap I'm in. Moving to Barcelona on the 18th of January. My mum bought the ticket to me and I'll fly with dear beloved Ryanair. Yesterday I got a mail from the school in Spain and today I got some paper and the check that I have to pay from the school here in Sweden. Yesterday I also started to pack...heheh. yeah I know it's more then a month left but I thought that I can start in time ;) The only thing the girls, Ida and Milla, and me are not searching for is a apartment in Barcelona. We have some suggestions that we have found. We just have to decide for one....easier said than done.

Barcelona or not Barcelona

Like some of u know I went to Germany from January to July to study and work at Caritas. When I was in Germany I also got information that they had the same course but in Barcelona. Since some of my Spanish teachers has been complaining on my Spanish, I thought that this would be a good thing to do. The last day to apply was the 15th of November so in the end of October I send in the papers to the school in Stockholm... and since then I have been nervous and stressed that I didn't get a place in the course. So on Friday I wrote them a mail and asked how the selection was going... I didn't check my mail until yesterday and then my mailbox was empty. Today my lovely friend Ida called me and told me that she and Milla was accepted for the Spanish 1 in Spain ( a course that's at the same place as my course, IS Barcelona). I almost freaked since I still haven't heard anything and now I thought I was out of the game ;( But just to be sure I looked through my mail box and trashbox and what do I find...... A EMAIL from Spain. You can imagine my happiness. I called Ida and cried in the phone and say that "I'm in". Tomorrow I will have a telephone interview with Señora Netzell ;)

like hello.. It's already the last month of the year. What went wrong??

I was in Germany from January to July.
Worked 2 weeks in July
Went back to Germany for a week in July
Went to England for a week in July/August
And then tried to study since September

I don't think anything went wrong, we have just had so much fun during this time ;)

Hockey and <3

Practicly the hole week I have done something outside the house. Thuesday we had a meeting, Wednesday we had Hockey and afterwards beer at Kåren, Thursday dance performance with the Cas Public a canadian dancegroup and yesterday we had sewing and then party first in Junior then Södra. Today we hopefully are going to skate... hahah what a joke, long time ago I was a skatingprincess ;P

Swedish??

Many of my students, both at work and at Uni, always think that I'm from some other country. But actually I'm born and raised in Sweden. Perhaps I should clear some things up.
My dad is Swedish and my mum is from Mexico, with roots from Lebanon and Spain. I have also lived in Germany for 1 year.

I would say that I'm international.

* Lived in Sweden, Germany and Mexico
* Talk Swedish, Spanish, English and German
* 25 countries visited
* I eat "strange" food...like on the pic (Griesbrei with Lingonberry jam)
* I can say a lot of phrases in different languages, thanks to my exchange students.

I will call myself INTERNATIONAL ;)

The Nutcases....

are having a party and sleepover. Some people of the Scandinavistik 2 had a party at C's. Free alkohol and funny pics where made. Some of us stayed until the day after and we got this wonderful breakfast...

Lend a Hand

On Scribbling the 19th the them was Land a Hand.. and well it was many hands that got drawn that day ;)

Hang with the gang

The 14th after painting the washroom I went home to M&S to meet the gang( R, C, B, Å, MG, MZ & S) and just hang. We eat cookies baked by C, crisps/cheese balls and candy. We watch 2 movies that R. had borrowed at the supermarket. Two completely different movies actually. It was fun meeting my friends again after so long time... well that's life when we all are doing different things.

R is studying and going to Stockholm now and then for some reason.

C is having a baby soon

B is commuting to Uppsala where she study

Å is working and soon moving in to her apartment

MG is working and studying

MZ is searching for work and passing the time by remaking stuff, like clothes

S is working hard

At least someone knows it's November

This is mum's November cactus... It only flowers in November, that's how it got the name. My mum always complain that it doesn't know when it is November but for the first time in many years it actually do.. Not like the weather that is more and more strange by the day. November some years ago it was full of snow outside, but what has happened. I claim it's the global climate changes that has made the snow go away from our part of the world. But at least the plant knows it November ;)

The result

It went from green (yes u are seeing right) to beige. Now we have new floor, wash machines and colour on the walls. It's so fucking nice now... the only thing missing is better light and storage

Paint it new

Today my parents and I went to the supermarket to buy some paint...

It's painting time in the house ;) Dad and I have repainted our washing room. It was before green and now it's getting beige, well it has to match the new floor. We also bought white paint and two shades of pink. The last ones are for my room.. one I have already on my walls but we need to improve on some places now after the rebuilding. The other pink is darker and will be on the wall where I have my window.

I'm full of paint on my hands and now I will get dressed and going home to M&S.

Superhero Party tonight

yeap yeap yet another party ;) On Wednesday it was party while the Karneval started in Germany and today we will have Superhero party. My plan is to be Batwoman

OK not that nice, I have to do my own creation. So it will be my red boots, black leggins, black dress, redgold belt and my Batman mask. I will look if I have any red gloves and red towel as cape.

Barcelona

Yesterday after school I went home to Ida and sat for good 4 hours and searched for apartments in Barcelona. I have applied for a course in Barcelona where I both will study Spanish and work at a company. Ida and Milla will study Spanish through the Uni here in Västerås but have the course in Barcelona. So we are searching for a big apartment with 3 bedrooms. Not that easy in a big city.

Birthday Lunch

Yesterday we got lunch from B. He had birthday in the beginning of this month and as to make something special he made Pakistani food to us ;) mmmmmm like it.

Karneval

Yes. Today the 11.11 at 11.11 the Karneval started in Köln. It's called the Fifth season in Germany and goes on until February/March. I have always missed the start in November but the grand finale in the spring I have attended 3 times. The first time I attended Karneval was in 2006 when I was studying German in Köln. I was first a Butterfly and then a 1920th woman with feeders in my hair. In 2007 I was Cher with high boots and a big hair...... awful but fun. This year I bought a expensive costume, A flight attendant with pilot sunglasses (I had that also to Halloween). Today I will just be me. It's to cold here in Sweden to being dressed in short clothes. But to all my friends in Köln and other parts that celebrate Karneval I just want to say

Lazy days

has it been for me the last days....

Monday: I started my practise at a Gymnasium here in the city

Tuesday: I also was there. Then we had Scribbling at Kåren

Wednesday: my tutor was ill so I went to Uni and sat with the girls and tried to make some work done hahhah. Then we had Language Fika with a lot of talk and eating cakes ;) and also a sad meeting with International Committee

Thursday: I was back at work and had class with some of my cute kids. Afterwards I went to Uni and had lunch with Bilal and went to Library to do some work, but Gossip Girl was taking most of my time. Then to Kåren to talk a little bit to the President and then down and say hi to the Salsa crew.

Friday: was going to be my last day at practise but my body said something ells. I have been lying in bed until today. Let's see if I will take myself out of the house tomorrow..

Snow keeps falling on my head ;)

The first snow is now a nice white cover over Västerås.

it's snowing ;) It started already in the morning whene I went to school... My coat got dotted with snow. Now when we sit in the library it snows more and more this time. Not tones of it but yeah it's coming down. They said on the radio that it will be snowing a lot tonight and tomorrow.

Can I do the giraffe??

Unleash your monster.

Yesterday we unleash our monster and this is some results of it. A lot of colours, cakes and coffee and tee was uses during this evening and a lot of creative things came out of it.

Today was my second day at practise. I have had both german and french classes today with my dear pupiles. I have even learn some french. woho. So to all of you here is some french that I learned.

* un pamplemousse - a grapefruit

* un concombre - gurka ( in swedish)

* le beurre - butter

Oh yeah I have had big problems and question about this practise, but today I talked to my lovely ex-teacher H. and now there is more clear to me. I will only follow my tutor, have part of lessons and write about it.

But I'm dead tired now... thank good that I'm starting at 10.50. tomorrow....
But tonight we are unleashing our Monsters from 19-21.30 in LF-room in Kåren.. (pics will come up later)

Just so I don't forget

last Friday it was Halloween party at Kåren, the disco/pub place at Mälardalen University in Västerås. First I had some friends over at my place for cake and Alcohol before going to the party. I recycled my Carneval costume from February and made me a dead stewardess this time. We had a lot of fun and I have never seen Kåren so full of people like this time ;) Well just wanted to post a pic of me and Mari as the evilest ( if u can say so) vampire

One more thing that I have ;) Have already Hotmail, MSN, Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Hi5 , studivz and Skype. so why should this be different than the others. Well here I will try and upload more and better than on the other places. My dear dad started to fix a homepage for me in 2004 for my project work about Mexico in High School but yeah it's still not done ( hahahahha, typical my dad he).

Well this was my first blog. Hi by the way and bye I'm soon of to bed since I have to wake up early for yet another day at practise, start at 8 so have to be up around 6...
