I got the job :)

well I known it for almost a month now, but with so much happening I have forgotten to tell it to you here :) I talked about this job in one of my blog entries from like march or something... well the 11th of April I got a mail that said that they wanted me to work in Torquay ( pronounced Tor-kee according to my friends in London). So tree weeks from end June to mid-July I will be working there and hanging around with 45 kids... I had to google Torquay to now anything about the place (since I still haven't been there) and this is what I found, thanks to wikipedia.

Torquay is a part of Torbay in the county of Devon. It has grown together with it's neighbour city Paignton. Torquay is know as the English Riviera with 35 km long sand beaches, palm trees and a very hot climate. Torquay is also the home town of Agatha Christie.

The royal wedding

Yes today is the day. Specially if you live in UK. Today Catherine Middleton will marry Prince William at 12'o clock at Westminster Abbey.

London day 1

what a day... I woke up early, thanks to my dad that came in and told me to get up... So in the morning from 6.30 until 10.37 when the bus from home to the central station went I did as followed... eat breakfast, did my lunchbox, vacuum cleaned my room and the living room, showered,went down to the basement with my bedlinen and clothes,packed the last things, bought a bus ticket home, talked to mum, dad and the Uni and then I walked to the bus stop.

I took the bus and came to the central around 10.45... we had said that we where going to meet at 11 o'clock since the bus to the airport went 11.20.. I was all alone, but just when I was going to sit down Madde came.. whooo.. 2/4 of the gang was gathered. We went to the bus since I want to sit on the first rows since I get carsick :/ .. As we went to the bus I meet some of my kids from school where I work as a substitute teacher.. they have had a Comenius project with schools from Turkey, Czech Republic,England and France. So yesterday the Turks where going home and went on the same bus as us... I think the people on the bus was a little annoyed at us since we talked the whole way from home to the airport.

We came to the airport safe and sound. And we printed out our bag tags and went to the bag drop. We walked around the airport a little and then we went in to the gate.. We are 4 girls and this makes it a small problem when we are flying... since the seating in the planes are 2people walkingpath 3people.. so this made it that Madde and me had to sit next to a stranger. And yes he was funny and strange at the same time.. It was a little (14 year old) boy that talked constantly for the whole trip that we had next to us. Seriously he was over social... at that age I was not that talketiv to people that I have just meet.

The weather in UK

On Monday we are going to London. Yesterday I watched the weather forecast and it looked like this:

right now when I looked at the forecast page they have made some changes.

Planing

instead of doing my homework I have started to do a London Guide for the week we will be there.. I have done like a small booklet with front page and then a guide for each day with what tube to take, how long time it takes to walk from one place to the other (with a map) and things to visit :) I LOVE going on Holidays.

Yesterday 3/4 of the girls meet at Rossa's place and I told them about my plan and we also made a list of the things to bring.. humm.. yeah that's us :)It will probably be longer or shorter depends on the weather and if we need other things.

Only 10 ½ weeks left :)

We are going to LONDON :)

so... two weeks ago we finally bought the flights to London from the 18th to the 24th of April. We will fly to London with SAS and home with British Airways...woop woop. We have also paid the deposit for the hostel in north London (Hendon Central).... this will be like Cologne 2009 when we spent some days together. I have already started to do a guide plan.... have to be prepared for all :)We are going to do the "normal" stuff like Harrods, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, London Eye, Tower Bridge etc.... I still think we should go to Ministry of Sound and party hard ^^

Last day

On Sunday the 15th I was returning back home to Sweden after 9 days in UK, but before going home I gave the bridalcouple a little gift made by my mum...

Preparations for the wedding...

Once again I'm off to England and this time I will go from Skavsta (hate that airport) to Gatwick which is closer to Nikki and Paul's house then Stansted and Luton.

Friday the 6th of August:
Mum came home from work to take me to the trainstation... My train went from Västerås to Eskilstuna at half 2, which takes around 30-40 mins on the train. I had planed to take the bus at a quarter past 3 but when I came to Eskilstuna a saw that there was a bus leaving a quarter past 2. I was really in a need of a toilet but I really wanted to come as quick as possible to the airport so I took the earlier bus...a ride that takes 1,5 hr..... and now toilet on the bus :( The bus takes us to Nyköping trainstation and there I have to change to a new bus, which luckily was waiting at the bus stop so I just crossed the street and went on and then we left for the airport... a ride that takes around a quarter of an hour... Thank you... TOILET...then standing in a long queue to check in the luggage and then a new queue to get throw security and then waiting for them to open the gate. But first toilet again and showing our passport before entering the gate and standing in queue again to get on the plane... Sometimes I hate flying...

My flight was leaving at 18.50 Swedish time and arrived at 20.00 English time ( 21.00 Swedish time) and then with the driving made that we arrived very late

Saturday the 7th of August:
We went to Camberley to shop... uhum... well I did :) In the first store that we entered I bought 2 ducks ( not real ones but in plastic, cos I collect them), then in the second store I bought some Pink Crocs and Pretty in Pink - a dvd of a film that came in the late 80's. Then we went in to the big mall and we went to my favourite store ... hehehe... Primark.. love it and I bought a bikini, socks, underwear and a t-shirt... and since the 2 first stores where charity shops and Primark is quite cheep, well I didn't spend that much to be honest... £ 3 for the Crocs that normally is about £ 60....

Sunday the 8th of August:
Today we went to Sandhurst... that means TESCO and M&S..woho.. to of my favs in one place... and of curse I bought things.. A showercap with Hello Kitty and the UK flag on it in pink and purple, so me :)

Monday the 9th of August:

Today it was sunny and we took the guineapigs to the wet cos they have flies or something. We had to take them in the cage and into the car and drive to Ashworth... so that they could get there injections..and after that we went to the swimming hall and did some lengths..... in Sweden we have 25 meters but I think Nikki said that it was 34.5 meters in the once in UK... well multiply that with my 14 lengths that I did...

Tuesday the 10th of August:
Today we are finally meeting up all together; Nikki, Paul, Abbie, Sally, Izzy, Andrew, Nikki's dad, Paul's parents cos today we are going to have the Rehearsal in the church of Chobham. But first did we girls go to Kerry the dressmaker that has to fix our dresses since Caroline did them a bit wrong ;( what drama... We first sat around at the Stables to wait on Abbie... we talked, drank tee, feed the guineapigs and took pictures..Izzy and me, she is so cute and now she will also be a big sister in December... bless her :)

We then went to Kerry and had our dresses fixed, then back to the house and then off again towards Chobham cos the rehearsal was at 19.00. We meet up with the priest and we went throw how we where going to walk and do in the church on Saturday... yeay I can believe that it's so soon... times flies... After the rehearsal we; Nikki, Paul, Nikki's dad, Paul's parents and me, went to Indo, and Indian restaurant to eat.. I had Chiken Tikka and Alo Gobi... mmmmmm

Wednesday the 11th of August:
The big make over begins... ufff.. Today we went to Spa Angels, it's a woman that has a beauty parlour at home, to fix the things we needed fixing... hahha... I only did my nails and toenails.. of course in PINK...to match the dress on Saturday :) Well Nikki did a hell lot more then just nails.. I will not even mention what she did or how much it costed.. I can say that what I did costed me £ 30 and then I also bought some flipflops from her for £2 cos I couldn't wear my shoes on the toenails that just had been painted ;( Then we also went to another city where Nikki did her hair....so I continued to read all the magazines they had there to...

At the hairdressers I got my eyes on the chairs that they had there... well they where very soft so I had no problem sitting there and read one magazine after the other.... The chair that Nikki sat in was also very sazzy... It was like it had snakeskin over it in grey/brown colour... like a Python...

After all driving around and getting us fixed for/to the wedding I just had one thing that I wanted to make... Go to the fish and chips place and have some food cos I was hungry and didn't want to eat one more yoghurt... So Fish and Chips it was with Mayo... and alot of it and yes my stomach hated me after that..well two days in a row with fatty and strong food...

Thursday the 12th of August:

One day more of things to do... well first going throw all the things that we where taking to the Hotel.. All the candy, bowls, dishes, lollies, crisps..etc...making list so that the staff at the hotel would understand what was going where... Then we went in to Farnborough and Nikki did here nails and then we went shopping a little :O When Paul came home from work we started to pack the car with all the things for the hotel and that wasn't some things it was a lot of things... Then we headed towards the hotel, 2 more days and then we will be here to have a wedding party... holy... We arrived to the hotel and started to pack everything out from the car and explain to the staff what was was and what needed to be in the refrigerator and handed over the list..

a new month has arrived again... I can't believe it goes so fast... A year ago I was in UK to decide what colour and style we where having on our dresses for Nikki and Paul's wedding on the 14th of August 2010....which is sooon... and soon I'm going over to UK for the preparations, well a whole week before the wedding I will be with the Stables' and hopefully help out with all the things that are necessary to do...

Saturday in UK

we continued partying long into the next day... well especially for me that had been 3 hours on a plane and was shit tired.. we continued to dance around the pole and also cheer on the guys that did some amazing things... after all the dancing we took a cab home to Nikki's and we all slept over there.

In the morning we went to Tesco to buy some food and as always I find things that I want.. as a true shopaholic that I am I had to buy this wonderful shoes that I found ;)we went home again and waited on Sally, Izzy and Andrew to come.. Cos today we where going to the dressmaker and see if our (bridesmaids) dresses did fit us for the big day.. When the family Harris-Morris came we packed us in to the two cars, Nikki, Sally and Izzy in one and Abbie and me in the other... The dressmaker Caroline could not greet us at here home like the last time so we had to go to Guildford where she had rented a studio so that we could have a look at the dresses... little Izzy had fun amongst the things and we had to move all the pins and such that she could sting herself onwe in our dresses.. unfortunately they had some problems, like being to small or to big.

Finally UK....

...and Pauly and I hate the M25.... That's the main motorway around London that we have to take to go from Luton airport to Nikki and Paul's house in Farnborough.. the trip that should take lees then an hour took over 2,5 hours this time...both me and Pauly was in a really bad mood and I was super hungry so I eat Pauly's candy and drank some beer...thihi :) When we finally arrived "home" it started to rain (like all the times I come to UK)...we waited until Abbie came and then we sat down to have dinner... After dinner we girls, Nikki, Abbie and me went upstairs to get ready for a night out... in Camberley, the biggest city in the nearby of Farnborough...and as Pauly is such a nice guy he drove us to the city and then went home to watch the telly :)
We first had a fotoshot with a pink car( we all love the colour pink, so that's why)and then we went in to the first bar where we only had a drink and one tequila shot each and then we went to the bar that was door to door whit the first place... there we all had some different drinks and after a while we also headed out on to the dancefloor (which is not a BIG dancefloor, it might be the same size as the livingroom and my room togheter..so NOT big). In one corner they had something rally funny.. a pole that we definitive had to try ;)
